The cake is a lie It was not nice of my SO to say, "You're feeling useless? Try playing Portal!"
He swears that there was at least one point at which I was glaring at the screen and I exclaimed, "You know, it would be really great if I could just teleport. ...oh."

Sarah Jane Adventures - The story no one wants Presently at 1500 words.
It wants to be a casefile with falling in love and pining, and it hopes someday to grow up into a big, strong, fully-fledged story that requires a warning or two in big letters -- one for "Adult" and one for "Content some readers may find disturbing."
How do I get myself into these things?
Current Mood: chagrined Current Music: "No, *my* Sarah Jane!" | | Sunday, October 21st, 2007 | | 9:40 pm |
Sohcahtoa - Doctor Who story, Nine/Rose/Jack Title: Sohcahtoa (7100 words) Fandom: Doctor Who (2005) Summary: One of the first truths the Doctor had tried to instill in her, and in so many of his travelling companions, was that it was never too late to run. What? That's not a song.) | | 5:34 pm |
Did anyone get the license plate of that muse? Apparently, all I had to do to get a story idea that will require major worldbuilding and be cheerfully extensible was to write a 92 page novella that goes, "Smut smut smut smut smut, caper, smut smut smut smut smut smut SMUT, action, SMUT SMUT did I mention SMUT SMUT SMUT emo and dismount!"
(Novella to be posted later.)
(Wrists to file for divorce next week.)
(Giglet gives excellent book recommendations.)

It's a good thing one can't vid books I have wanted the Good Omens vid to Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell for quite a long time. Say what you like about Best of Queen albums (and one should), there's something about an album that starts with:
"If I gotta be damned, you know I wanna be damned dancin' through the night with you!"
And continues through an entire song called "Heaven Can Wait," and --
This is one of those things I believe.
Current Mood: wistful Current Music: And I never see the sudden turn 'til it's way too late | | 11:53 am |

Haunts meet for thee - Battlestar Galactica story Title: Haunts meet for thee Fandom: Battlestar Galactica 2003 Summary: Everyone has a breaking point. Pairing: Laura Roslin/Lee Adama Rating: Adult. Thanks: Carla for encouraging and beta-reading. One could, in fact, argue that she's entitled to take what she wants.(I am still in the process of updating my website, and will publicize it when finished, but there was a general call for things other than Harry Potter to read, and this has been waiting for the right moment.) Current Mood: ready to snapCurrent Music: Made of plastic and elastic, he is rugged and long-lasting | | Friday, July 20th, 2007 | | 9:05 am |
Moving house I am in the process of updating my website rather than moving everything over here, as I am not feeling trusting enough to assume that this will be around terribly long.
However, if you've been reading Petronelle over on livejournal, do come in and make yourself at home. |
