Sohcahtoa - Doctor Who story, Nine/Rose/Jack
Title: Sohcahtoa (7100 words)
Fandom: Doctor Who (2005)
Summary: One of the first truths the Doctor had tried to instill in her, and in so many of his travelling companions, was that it was never too late to run.
Pairing: Nine/Rose/Jack
Rating: Adult (R)
Notes: Thanks to Jamjar for Britpicking and betareading.
Disclaimer: Doctor Who belongs to the BBC. I am not employed by them and I make no money from this story.

The TARDIS and Rose can look after each other for a while. I hope.

I couldn't sleep, and then I find that entry on my friendslist. Very nice!

I like how the Doctor is so alien -- so in his own world, simply because his concepts of time and events and even life/death are so unique. He can't really help it, it just is... but he tries, sometimes.

And they're all so... awkward, each in their own way. Jack equally frustrated, stubborn, and careful. Rose trying to make the best decision while also hiding her own issues. And the Doctor... um, flailing.

I am glad to mollify your insomnia when possible.

I really feel like I went out on a limb with the Doctor's POV, so I'm pleased that it makes sense to you. The more old Who I watch, the saner and more human Nine seems, even when I'm writing him as alien as I can manage.

I'm grinning an implausible amount at the description of them as awkward. I can't get my writing teeth into stories where everything is smooth as silk, so I'm glad that I managed to get them problematic enough for me to write them without being too much so for your taste.

Thanks so much for the feedback.
